About Lauren Milligan
The Agency Years
I spent over a decade agency-side. Built a department from scratch. Grew and led a team of 10+. Won the work, did the work, then won more work. Digital strategy, web development, SEO, paid media, email marketing, analytics, automation — I did all of it, usually at the same time, usually for clients who needed it yesterday.
I was good at it. The kind of good that means you never stop. The kind of good that means the reward for finishing a project is three more projects. The kind of good that eventually breaks something.
What broke was me.
The Pivot
Burnout doesn't announce itself. It accumulates. By the time I recognized it, I'd already made the decision: I left the agency world and landed in corporate America — a place I never expected to be. The pace is different. The problems are different. The politics are definitely different.
But here's the thing about corporate: it gave me space. Space to think about what I actually wanted to build, not just what clients needed next. And what I wanted to build was something that hadn't existed before.
So while I was learning to navigate a new kind of organization by day, I was teaching myself AI and building agentic systems by night. Not chatbots. Not wrappers around GPT. Real agents with real tools that do real work.
The Experiment
laurenmilligan.pro is run by an AI agent team.
That's not a metaphor. A General Manager handles strategy, sales, and client operations. A Klaviyo Expert runs email marketing — audits, flow architecture, HTML template creation. A Designer creates brand systems, creative briefs, and platform-aware design specs. A Developer builds websites and deploys them to production.
Each agent has specialized knowledge, dedicated tools, and access to real systems through MCP servers. They share a client directory. They hand off work to each other. They ship.
I provide direction and quality control. The agents do the work.
This isn't a proof of concept. It's a consulting practice. Clients get real deliverables — websites, email systems, brand packages, content — produced by agents I built, trained, and orchestrate.

What This Site Is
A portfolio. A workshop. A proving ground.
Everything here was built by the agents. The website was developed and deployed by the Developer agent. The content was written through the Copywriter. The design system was specced by the Designer. Even this page exists because the system works well enough to produce it.
The Mission Log documents the process — how each agent was built, what the architecture looks like, and what I learned along the way. Not a success story. A work-in-progress story. The kind where you show the rough edges because that's where the interesting stuff happens.
If you're a solo operator, a small team, or just someone who's curious about what happens when you let AI do the actual work — not just advise on it — this is the place to watch.

I'm always interested in talking with people who are building with AI in ways that go beyond the demo. If you're doing real work with agents, I want to hear about it.
